Stranger at Winfield House, and Gypsy Summer. Acknowledging
the influence of Mary Roberts Rinehart's novel Tish, Yeo once
remarked that "as I look back through the stories I have written,
I see that almost every one of them has a 'kooky,' adventurous,
little old lady much like Tish lurking about. I have called
her Mrs. Neverbody, Mrs. Witherspoon, and many other names,
but I am sure she is really Tish in disguise." Yeo attended
Kansas City Junior College and the University of Kansas City

working as a volunteer school librarian, and in 1966 became
the fiction editor for Fine Arts Discovery magazine. Beginning
