descends
from Robert James Yeo and Caroline, their son George
Edward Yeo married Helen Storey. Robert James was a
wealthy merchant on the Island of Jamaica around 1840 and
his son George Edward was initially a teacher in the West
Indies and was then ordained a deacon in 1864. He was a
curate of Montserrat, (1864-5, & St Peter, Antigua 1865-6,
Rector of the Virgin Island, 1866-72 & St Peter, St
Kitts, W. Indies from 1872. He was also Canon of St John's
Catheldral in Antigua. Doug has a very successful career,
playing for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. His wife, Patricia,
often accompanies him on the piano, and is also a brass
player, as are his two daughters, the Yeo Family Brass has
performed in many churches, schools and camps in the Northeast.
I am now the proud possessor of several of Doug's C.D's
with his autograph on them, and the music is superb !!!
Suzanne
is
the daughter of Clarence Edward's sister, Mildred and
has done alot of research for this branch.
