Hello Sheila, Here is a little information that you asked for on the Payne-Yeo connection. John Payne (my gg-grandfather) married (my gg-grandmother Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Yeo 22 Feb 1846, Stoke Dameral Parish, Devonshire, Eng. His father being William Payne labourer and her father William Yeo also a labourer. John Payne lived at 49 James St. Devon in 1846 and Elizabeth lived 6 Ker St. Devon before marriage. Their witnesses were John Yeo and Grace Alger. Their children: 1. William Yeo Payne 7 Jan 1847 born St. Andrew, County of Devon. 2. John R. Payne 6 August 1850 (my g-grandfather). 3. Elizabeth Jane Payne 1 October 1852. John, the father, was killed in a coal mine accident in St. Clair, Schuylkill Co., PA. He is still buried in the mine, 5 April 1852. Eliz. Yeo Payne re-married Rev George Harris abt. 1854 and had: 1. George Henry Harris, 11 May 1856. 2. Sarah Ann Harris, 31 May 1858. 3. Charles Edwin Harris, Rev, 26 Nov 1859. 4. Mary Emeline Harris, 30 August 1862. 5. Ella Matilda Harris, 3 Feb. 1866. Elizabeth (Yeo) Payne/Harris died 26 July 1906 Gordon, Schuylkill Co., PA or Fountain Springs. It was said of her that she was a good comical sort of person. I do have a picture of her. I did most of the Yeo research through Rev. Apps, Parish Records back in the 1960's. It became to confusing to me and I wasn't sure if I was doing more harm or discovery so I gave it up. Her parents, what little I have on them:

The parents of above William 1791: Richard Yeo & Jane Rowe married 25 Nov 1787 South Tawton, Okehampton, Devon, Eng. He was baptized 9 Sept 1764. Three children: Jane, Wm. and Ann. Richard's parents: Robert Yeo and Jane Hurchill married 23 September 1754 same as above son. Parents of above Richard:Robert & Joane Arscotte 5 Nov 1702 South Tawton. They married 1 March 1717 Okehampton. This is all I have in my genealogy program. Your website is extra-ordinary, thanks for putting it on the internet. Greetings! After reading the Yeo pages and following some of the families, I found my line. How exciting. Now I have some questions. Do you have more info on #41, William, born 1791 in South Tawton and his daughter #104, Elizabeth? Elizabeth married John Payne and he died in 1852 and then she married George Harris. She was pregnant with daughter Elizabeth when John Payne was killed and the daughter married James Samuel Cooper. They moved to Kansas in 1874 or so, and child #3 was Emma Cooper, who married William Robbins and they had Beulah Robbins who married Simon Kruger and Simon and Beulah were my parents. I am so glad to get all of this family tree and how kind of you to have it on the computer where I found it. I have spent many hours and a lot of money researching all of my families and I share with cousins. We didn't have any info on the Coopers and I finally got lucky and found one more generation back from Grnadpa James Samuel. They are not in the LDS files and I cannot travel to England, so I was happy to find some old papers of my Grandparents that had the info I needed. Thankyou so much for your dedication to finding the info. Do you have other researchers of this same family? Even though it is a ways off, we are cousins.
